To mark the occasion of HRH Prince of Wales 70th birthday on 14 November 2018 we are throwing a right royal party for our members. The event will be supported by The Rotary Club of Reigate and will take place on the day itself at The Merstham Centre.
We have written to Clarence House to inform HRH Prince of Wales about our birthday party. In all likelihood, he will be unable to attend - he will be attending a private event with entertainment including a magician at the London Palladium. He loves magic and is actually a member of the secretive Magic Circle, so I am sure he will be looking forward to the event.
Our birthday event will be in a similar vain and will include a royal roast dinner followed by local entertainer, The Hat Man who will perform a visual cabaret.
In order to make our day special for our guests, we would like you to get involved too. We are looking for donations to help make the day truly regal - Can you help?
We need vintage items for the dining tables:
tablecloths
cake stands
royal tea cups and mugs
royal plates
Can you donate any historic royal merchandise?
We aim to include a royal merchandise / memorabilia display stand from any royal event gone past and are aiming to collect 70 items to mark 70 years. Some of the items will be selected to be auctioned off to support our work at The Merstham Centre.
