Employment Vacancy

Befriending Service Coordinator

Are you looking for a rewarding part-time role, working for an independent, local charity supporting older people living in the community?

Age Concern Merstham, Redhill and Reigate (MRR) provides a range of services for older people, including a Befriending Service for lonely and socially isolated people living in the local area. We are looking for someone special to join our small, friendly team to coordinate and continue to build this vital service.

The ideal person will be friendly, compassionate, enthusiastic, dedicated, an easy listener and above all, will enjoy talking to people. The role is extremely rewarding and varied, however, it can be challenging - no two days will ever be the same.

You will need to be computer literate with a good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of programs; you will have a clean driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle. The role is for 12 hours per week, which can be flexible, and is subject to satisfactory DBS and reference checks.
